Mark’s 40+ years of experience in finance and accounting can be outnumbered only by his wide-ranging areas of interest and expertise. At Cora Capital Advisors, LLC, Mark shares his expansive knowledge in personal financial planning; business valuations – including matrimonial and divorce-related matters; business consulting; retirement planning; tax administration and New Jersey life insurance. Serving as a qualified expert witness in business valuation and other litigation matters, Mark has even provided court and mediation testimony in New Jersey and Colorado.

After graduating with a BS in accounting from Drexel University and becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Mark started his accounting career with Laventhal & Horwath, CPAs in Philadelphia. He later assisted in the foundation of Baratz & Associates, P.A., where he remains active as a shareholder.

Mark maintains membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, from which he earned a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation, an SEC Series 6 & 63 exam license, Accreditation in Business Valuations (ABV) and Certification in Financial Forensics (CFF). He remains active in the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants and has previously served as president of the Financial Planning Council of Southern New Jersey.

When he is not serving clients, Mark enjoys spending quality time with his wife Marla and their three daughters, Lauren, Rachelle and Daryl.
